AirProjects recently assisted the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority with the development of a leasing and management strategy for the food service and retail program at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (National Airport).  An analysis of third-party managers and programs, third-party management deal structures, and the financial implications on both the Authority and the potential tenants were evaluated.  DBE participation strategies for third-party deals and potential DBE operators were also researched.  AirProjects used the results of this work to assist the Authority with the preparation of an RFP for a fee manager for the entire program.  Ms. Ferraguto was also the manager of the commercial development component of the Cesar Pelli design team for the 35-gate terminal and connector at National Airport.

National Airport’s retail program was the winner of numerous awards from Airport Revenue News in 2000, including Best Overall Airport Concession Program, Best Concession Program Design, and Airport with the Most Innovative Services.
